WARRANTY PROCEDURE
What you need to know and what you need to do.
Firstly, please note:
Under no circumstances will warranty be discussed
on the telephone without previously receiving the claim form.
All correspondence should be done in writing, either
by post, fax or email. This ensures that all correspondence is documented
and kept on file.
We cannot process ANY warranty claims without the form
being filled in.
If you boat is new then it is covered under manufacturers
warranty against all defects as will be detailed in the new vessel’s
skippers pack.
If your boat is used, Prosser Marine covers the engine
and gearbox fully parts and labour excluding external hoses and propellers
for the first 3 months (from the date of delivery) unless agreed at
the time of purchase. If your boat was bought from us on brokerage then
you have no warranty.
All lifts in and out of water are the owners responsibility.
STEP 1:
Fill out the claim form attached and send it to us either by Fax or
Post. On receipt and approval of this we will need you to fax (0141
552 3550) or post a copy of your original final invoice, and all service
history. You can also post us the claim at our usual address. Please
keep a note of the claim number so you can keep a check on your claim.
STEP 2:
On receipt of the completed form we will assess whether your boat is
covered. We may call you to discuss the claim with any questions we/you
may have.
STEP 3:
We will confirm what is and is not covered and we will then normally
either:
Send a technician to the vessel and correct the fault (normally within
31 days)
Ask you to get 2 quotes from local firms to rectify the faults.
Ask you to return the boat to our address where we will carry out the
repairs.
IT IS THE CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY FOR ANY
TOWS, LIFTING, STOREAGE, MOORINGS AND TRANSPORT TO AND FROM AN AUTHORIZED
REPAIR CENTRE.
STEP 4:
We will carry out the work. If you have new faults that need to be rectified
then a new form will need to be completed.
Note to Customer: Please do
not forget to attach a copy of your original invoice and all service
history when faxing or posting your claim and remember please do not
authorise any works without our permission first otherwise we will not
be able to settle the invoice. |
